Job Description

Our CARF accredited Rehab rates in the top 10% of the nation and is one of only 5 in South Carolina.  The Inpatient Rehab has 18 beds and utilizes latest technology such as Omnicell, Epic, and Mindray (for vitals), allowing our team to provide the best care possible to our patients.

The Outreach Liaison responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain rehab census while meeting targeted goals for monthly and yearly admissions
  • Assist in development of business/marketing plan with emphasis on relationship building and referral development
  • Coordinates an efficient, effective and timely admissions process to the rehab unit.  
  • Evaluates all patients referred to determine if they meet admission criteria within 24 hours of referral
  • Markets rehabilitation programs and services to healthcare providers in the community through face to face interaction, in-services, community programs/groups, professional presentations, community events and seminars
  • Determine any barriers to admissions process and response quickly to overcome barriers
  • Demonstrates professionalism at all times through excellent customer service to all they come in contact (patients, payors, referral sources, etc.)
  • Develops and maintains long term relationships with internal and external referral source. 
  • Completes accurate pre-admission evaluations in a timely manner and complies with all compliance/regulatory standards
  • Completes insurance prior authorizations and documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintains accurate records on referrals, denials and insurance communications
  • Available to provide tours/education to potential patients and families
  • Assist in fulfilling the mission of the rehab unit and leadership team
  • Ability to participate and interact effectively in the interdisciplinary team consisting of but not limited to Physician, RN staff, Social Worker, Utilization Review, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology
  • Other activities as assigned by director of rehabilitation

Requirements

Current licenses as RN, PT, OT, SLP

Valid driver’s license

2-3 years of experience in clinical position

Familiarity with acute or rehab environment

Marketing or sales experience

Excellent communication skills

Detailed and goal oriented

CPR certification preferred (can be obtained after employment)
