Job Description

The Nursing Simulation Coordinator is responsible for nursing skills and simulation programs to ensure educational goals and outcomes are accomplished.  The Nursing Simulation Coordinator incorporates evidence-based practices within the simulation curriculum, and scenarios to promote staff critical thinking and problem solving skills. Collaborates with Nursing Clinical Educators and nurse leaders to develop, implement and integrate simulation activities in Nursing Orientation, Nurse Residency, Annual Competencies, and ongoing education. The Nursing Simulation Coordinator will serve as a resource and educator to all nursing associates.

The qualified candidate must possess:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Baccalaureate Degree required, Masters in Nursing preferred.
• Bachelors prepared RN must have at least 5 years of experience as a bedside staff RN
• Simulation Center Experience strongly preferred
• Unrestricted nursing license permitting practice in South Carolina
• BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification.  Maintains BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor status
• Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required to meet the needs of the staff and patient population.
