Must be Certified Nursing Assistant with one year of experience preferred.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician performs duties involving direct, hands-on, patient care in patients' homes without the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist.  The PCT demonstrates prudent, cost-effective, yet patient-oriented decision-making, i.e. clinical and technical independent thought and action.  The PCT remains respectful of patient's home and property.  Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.  Must complete a minimum of 12 contact hours continuing education annually.  Valid SC Driver's license with good driving record.  Current CPR certification or ability to pass certification test during orientation and maintain.  Minimum of one year's experience as a hospital or nursing home nursing assistant.  Experience in medical terminology preferred.  Must be certified as either a Home Health Aide (HHA) or a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
